It is with heartache that I honor this quiet hero: Lesli Smith, an agent with Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners (North Gwinnett in Buford, GA). She was the beneficiary of Teresa Smith’s efforts and friendship in our first blog posting (Miraculously The Sky Opened Up And The Sun Shone Down). To our great sadness, on Thursday 3/19/09, Lesli lost her battle with cancer.
Lesli was herself a quiet hero, not complaining about her circumstances, simply and courageously fighting her battle with cancer for two years. She fought out of love for her husband and her two beautiful daughters. Lesli's greatest joy and accomplishment was motherhood. Her memory makes those who knew her smile and laugh. She never gave up and neither will we; we will continue to fight cancer.
"A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best" (from her Memorial Service).
